The Centre for Legal Education (CLE) at Nottingham Law School, in association with members of the Association of Law Teachers (ALT), is proud to present its 7th International Conference: "The Future Begins Now." This premier event serves as a critical junction for legal educators, practitioners, and researchers to explore the radical shifts occurring within the legal landscape.
Over the course of five days, the conference will transition from intensive online global sessions to a high-impact, in-person finale in the heart of Nottingham. The 2026 theme focuses on the intersection of technology, sustainability, and "new voices" in law. Attendees will engage in deep-dive discussions regarding the integration of AI in pedagogy, the influence of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on law curricula, and the evolving expectations of the next generation of legal professionals.
A unique feature of the 2026 event is the "Troubleshooting Clinics." These peer-led sessions allow delegates to bring real-world classroom challenges to a panel of experts and peers for collaborative problem-solving. Whether you are interested in the "The challenges and joys of technology" or "Reflective practice for legal professionals," this conference provides the intellectual rigor and networking opportunities necessary to stay at the forefront of legal education. The final day in Nottingham will feature keynote addresses, paper presentations, and a formal closing ceremony.
