RadVision 2026: North returns to Manchester to address the critical challenges and technological leaps within the NHS imaging and radiology sector. As diagnostic demand continues to surge, the pressure on imaging departments has reached an all-time high. This conference provides a strategic platform for senior leaders to explore how the NHS can move beyond backlogs and toward a sustainable, tech-enabled future.

The core theme of RadVision 2026 is "Integration and Optimization." With the national rollout of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and the formation of regional Imaging Networks, the landscape of diagnostics is changing. We will host keynote sessions from NHS England leads who will provide updates on the 2030 Diagnostic Strategy. These sessions are designed to help local leads align their departmental goals with national funding and performance mandates.

A major focus will be placed on the operationalization of Artificial Intelligence. While AI holds the promise of faster reporting and increased accuracy, the "how-to" of clinical integration remains a hurdle. Our afternoon skill clinics will feature case studies from trusts that have successfully deployed AI for stroke detection and chest X-ray triaging, providing a roadmap for governance, procurement, and staff training.

Beyond technology, we address the human element. The radiographer shortage is a national crisis; therefore, we have invited workforce experts to discuss innovative staffing models, such as international recruitment and the expansion of the "Reporting Radiographer" role. RadVision is not just a series of lectures; it is a collaborative forum. Delegates are encouraged to participate in "Leadership Knowledge Exchanges" where they can candidly discuss the hurdles of teleradiology and inter-trust interoperability. This event is essential for anyone responsible for the delivery of diagnostic services in the North of England, providing a rare opportunity to see the future of medical imaging in action.

Key Event Highlights

Operationalizing AI and machine learning in daily radiology workflows. The evolution of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and regional networks. Strategies for addressing the chronic radiographer and radiologist shortage. Advancements in Teleradiology and cloud-based image sharing. Peer-to-peer leadership sessions on diagnostic backlog recovery.
