Complete Details

The Rotary Club of Belfast is proud to host its intensive Youth Leadership Development Workshop, a full-day seminar designed to empower the next generation of Northern Irish leaders. This event is specifically tailored for students and young professionals aged 18 to 25 who demonstrate an interest in community service, ethical leadership, and professional growth.

The curriculum for the day is built around the core Rotary values of integrity, diversity, and service. Participants will engage in a series of interactive modules led by industry experts and seasoned Rotarians. The morning sessions focus on "Emotional Intelligence in Leadership" and "Effective Public Speaking," providing attendees with the soft skills necessary to command a room and lead with empathy.

After a networking lunch, the afternoon shifts toward practical application with a "Social Innovation Challenge." Here, attendees are split into teams to brainstorm solutions for local urban issues, such as environmental sustainability or social isolation in the elderly. Each team will pitch their idea to a panel of judges, with the winning concept receiving a small seed grant and mentorship from the Rotary Club to bring the project to life. This workshop is more than just a learning opportunity; it is a gateway into a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders. By the end of the day, participants will walk away with a personalized leadership action plan and a certificate of completion from one of the oldest Rotary clubs in the UK.
