While Lester does don a prosthetic nose, the play is celebrated for its "joyful lyricism" and a script that crackles with contemporary energy and verse.

The story remains as poignant as ever: Cyrano, a brilliant soldier and poet, is paralyzed by his own insecurities regarding his appearance.
