Alfred Enoch Leads Historic Henry V at the Royal Shakespeare Company: Full Cast Announced
The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has officially unveiled the full ensemble for its upcoming production of Henry V, featuring How to Get Away with Murder star Alfred Enoch in the title role. This production, running at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from March 14 to April 25, 2026, marks a significant milestone in the company’s history.
A Historic Milestone for Tamara Harvey
Directed by RSC Co-Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, this staging is the first time in the history of the Royal Shakespeare Company that Henry V has been directed by a woman.Harvey, who recently collaborated with Enoch on the acclaimed 2024 production of Pericles, returns to the main stage to explore the "human price" of leadership and the consequences of power.
Harvey noted that Henry V was one of the first Shakespeare plays Enoch ever saw, making this a "natural" and deeply personal project for the duo to tackle in the RSC's larger theatre.
