Madelyn Cline: This season, our characters start out in an interesting place because of last season’s shocking finale, we’ll get to explore that. And as always, the stakes are high and the relationships between characters are going to be tested. We also tried to bring everyone home and wrap up the series in a way that the fans will hopefully love.

I’m sad but I’m also extremely grateful. We built such a bond, and y’all are literally my best friends. It’s gonna be insane not working with you guys anymore.

Why the Pogues are in Croatia will need to be revealed, as they were previously headed to Lisbon, Portugal in their pursuit of Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane) after the role he played in JJ's death. Croatia is not only a fictional location for Outer Banks season 5, but was a filming location, as some scenes were shot in Dubrovnik.

Cline was also joined by Outer Banks cast members Carlacia Grant and Chase Stokes. Grant shared that “My favorite part has always been how people see themselves in us, our friendship really keeps their friendship together.
